THE CLASSIC KIỀNG
A Celebration Through Time
“KIỀNG” /ke-eng/ is the Vietnamese Traditional neckwear
Elegant and modest, KIỀNG is a symbol of Celebration, representing Timeless Beauty in its simplest form.
KIỀNG holds significant morals that are dearly to Vietnamese people. The design is evocative of the Celebration of Love and Unity, shaped in the perfect circle.

Dated back to the 1900s, KIỀNG was worn by the Female Consorts, Princesses and the Elite females on special occasions. Royal Folk Art Performers wore KIỀNG in all of their performances.
In the modern days, the tradition to gift KIỀNG to the newly brides in their Wedding days is well preserved. During Lunar New Year, we wear KIỀNG with Áo Dài (Vietnamese Traditional Long Dress) to greet and show respect to our beloved ones.
KIỀNG survives the colonization periods and continues its legacy to the present-day, honoring Cultural values.
The carving elements create a personal, unique story for KIỀNG
These important details are not simply just images. They are a form of Communication, carrying KIỀNG’s story from the Past to the Present. The elements are hand carved in a traditional Vietnamese, organic and abstract form of depiction.
